It all began with a 1955 Shasta that my husband resurrected to become our honeymoon suite. A Cardinal and Aloha followed us home one day, and were refurbished and raffled off as fundraisers. At this point we were pretty much addicted. The trouble was that we began to see them everywhere we went and had a desire to save them all! I purchased 4 in one day, and the collection began.
What started as a love for reviving these simple, unique treasures, developed into an opportunity to share their quaintness with others in the most natural way, by making them available for rent. After all, we can only stay in one at a time. As it takes hours of hard work to make these little cuties cozy and comfy, the number of available trailers will grow with time.
We are lucky to live in a landscape of mountains and valleys, speckled with evergreens, and open skies. Our location makes for a great vacation destination. We also have several lakes and rivers that offer excellent fishing and boating opportunities. We are located along the Volcanic Legacy Byway between Mt. Lassen and Mt. Shasta. A portion of the Pacific Crest Trail runs parallel along Hwy 89. The area is further enhanced by two state parks, McArthur-Burney Falls and Ahjumawi Lava Springs. There is much to explore in the area for those who enjoy the outdoors, and for those who are just looking to escape to a relaxing environment.
I hope you will enjoy the quaint simplicity of camping in one of our vintage trailers as well as the tranquil environment.
See you soon!
